Whargoul by Dave Brockie

this is an actual book written by Dave Brockie, also known as Oderus Urungus to all the Gwar fans out there...and if Gwar's lyrics are any indication of how awesome this book is gonna be (and i think they are), then i am most definitely excited...i just found out this book was released on Dec. 4, 2010, nearly ten years after it was written...and on my quest for information about this horrific novel, i came across a link to the manuscript of Whargoul that Brockie had posted himself back in '06 after being frustrated by not finding a good publisher to print the book and not wanting to let it go to waste, sitting on his hard drive forever...he said it was about 160 pages if you printed it out...now i don't know if this is exactly what you get when you buy the actual book, but im guessing hes done some revising and editing since this was posted and also, amazon.com has the book listed as having 244 pages...so if you're interested, go ahead and check out this "rough draft" so to speak, of what is sure to be a bone breaking, blood splattering, roller coaster of carnage...i think im going to hold off on reading this manuscript and wait til i get my hands on a copy of the actual, physical book, and i urge everyone else to go out and buy this shit now...if you're a fan of Gwar and aren't illiterate, you need this book!

Korgoth Of Barbaria

this is the best cartoon ever....that's all i can say...it was originally scheduled to be a show on Adult Swim but only this pilot episode was made, and despite good reviews, Adult Swim still decided to cancel the show, citing that it was "too expensive" to produce...fans were outraged, petitions were created, but ultimately to no avail, as we're left with this one and only episode, wondering what might have been...now, i love most of the shows on Adult Swim but i gotta wonder what the fuck they were thinking by not continuing this project...so it costs a bit more to make, shell out a few extra bucks and you have a quality show that everyone loves and i am sure the merchandising alone would counterbalance the cost of making the show....here's the description... "In a dark future wasteland, the great cities have risen and fallen, primordial beasts have reclaimed the wilderness and thieves and savages populate sparse, dirty towns. From the frozen north emerges a warrior known as Korgoth, and his merciless savagery may be his only key to survival."

The Decline Of Western Civilization

this is an awesome documentary covering the early 80's punk rock scene in L.A...it features interviews and music with some of the greatest punk bands ever, like, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, and Fear, just to name a few...this was released in 1981 and is a VHS rip but the quality is decent...a rare movie you don't see everyday, but probably should, check out this classic punk rock documentary
