Devo - Something For Everybody

i can't believe it...Devo is back! and it couldn't have come at a better time...the whole pop music culture sickens me to no end...you got worthless, talentless assholes that just get on stage and shake their titties and ass around to compensate for the fact that they can't sing, can't play any instruments, can't write their own songs, and basically have no business being in the music industry in the first place...like that retarded wench, Kesha...the only time this super moronotronic slut should even get close to a microphone is when shes repeating my order back to me at fuckin Mickey Dees...did you see her performance on SNL? absofuckinglutely horrible! and yet the masses are eating this shit up like Kirstie Alley at an Old Country Buffet (or anywhere else where food is served) its freakin ridiculous, but thank god there is a savior for the pop music industry and they go by the name of Devo...this is their first album in 20 years and honestly, it couldn't be better...most everyone knows Devo from the song 'Whip It' and by those funny little stairstepped hats they'd wear (they're called Energy Domes by the way) but what you might not know is, this new album of all new material is way better than anything else you're gonna hear playin on the radio or in a club...like i said, i typically wanna vomit after listening to about 30 seconds of what the mainstream music world calls a 'hit', but i feel like this album has the potential to produce quite a number of hits of its own and it is extremely accessible, in that anyone could listen to this and probably not be offended, disgusted, sickened, or repulsed by the sound (like a lot of people are at 90% of the music i like) this record will be released on Tuesday, June 15, so we'll have to wait and see how well it is received by the ignorant masses...its definitely got my vote for best pop album of the year, not that there is a whole lot to choose from really...but if you need some tunes to help you get off your ass and boogie down to the max, then get this shit now! http://www.mediafire.com/?wtnmziulbgz

Scaremaker - What Evil Have They Summoned...

so i make it no secret that i am a huge Razorback Records fan, i love every band on their label and in my honest, humble opinion, they are the best overall metal label around, period...they consistently release quality death metal and manage to only sign bands that kick ass...i think they are more about quality rather than quantity and for that, i am glad...too many labels release pure shit just because they think that it will sell, and for the most part they're probably right, because your average consumer these days is either braindead, or brainwashed into following all of the new trends no matter how pathetic or lame they might be...hell, with the right marketing campaign, you could sell ice to eskimos, but at the end of the day, what have you really accomplished? well, i'll tell you what Razorback Records has accomplished...they have managed to release nothing but badass music for the past ten years and this brand new debut full length cd by Scaremaker is keeping with the tradition of awesomeness...so when i heard that the man behind my favorite label, Billy Nocera, had started his own death metal band, i was very intrigued to hear what this horror obsessed metalhead that has brought me some of the greatest cds that i own, would wind up putting on his very own bands cd...the result is nothing short of killer! (which i expected), as this death metal trio tear through 13 tracks of "demonic and violent riffs, murderous lyrical summonings, and ghastly vocals that leave you unhinged!" this is a good album of old school death metal but the real star of this record is Billy's wife, Vanessa Nocera...she does guitar, and bass, and vocals on this cd, she wrote all the music and about 70% of the lyrics...im like damn, this chick is fucking talented! Billy, you got yourself quite a catch here, you lucky bastard...the lyrics on this record are about a variety of terrifying topics, including "malicious deformed children who kill, undead immortals who suck blood from the living, backwoods maniacs fulfilling their mother's hunger for gore, agonizing witch burnings, traumatic transmutations, old books dripping with fetid ink, horrendous skinnings, malevolent vampires and offerings of forgotten horrors!" so if any of that sounds like something you'd wanna hear, then check this shit out now...and for a limited time if you order this cd from Razorback Records, it comes with an authentic Scaremaker toetag! how many other labels give you cool shit like this when you order?...these guys know what i like, and i like it
im such a big fan that i bought the Scaremaker demo tape the moment it was released...it was limited to 200 copies but don't worry, the 3 songs on this cassette are also on the full length cd and sound way better, thanks to a great mixing and mastering job by Patrick Bruss of Crypticus...so go ahead and grab the album and prepare yourself for a hellish ride of unspeakable horrors and neverending nightmares

Antisocial #2

comic books rule...i grew up collecting a lot of Marvel titles but the older i got the more i ventured into the independent comic book world and started to find some really great books from some really awesome writers and illustrators that don't often get the fame and recognition as some of the artists at bigger companies like DC, Marvel, or Image...this book is one of the funniest comics i have ever read and it was released by Evil Propaganda...it contains a bunch of short stories with some of the most hilarious dialogue and characters ever...you got a paranoid crack addict, a delusional psychopath, an alien spy, and more...this book is a perfect example of why the underground is always cooler than the mainstream, whether you're talking comics, music, movies, whatever...i scanned each page and collected them all together in one folder as jpegs, so if you're looking for something a little off the wall and funny, read this book

Stikky - Spamthology

in 1985 the California music scene would be forever changed for the better by one of the most under appreciated and truly authentic hardcore bands to ever grace the stage, im talking about the one and only, Stikky...they were a three piece powerhouse of hardcore punk fury, consisting of Chris Dodge and Chris and Todd Wilder...these guys were amazing, seriously, i wish i could have had the privilege of seeing them live at one of the many Gilman St. shows they played...one of the tightest bands you could ever hear and also incredibly energetic and fun...they don't take themselves too seriously and you can tell by listening to this album that these dudes were purely in it for the good times and love of the music...theres plenty of between track banter on this 'Spamthology' and its pretty funny to hear the way these guys carry on with each other...i wish there were more bands like this...i also wish that Stikky had released more material...this album came out in 1997, long after the band had broken up, and its currently out of print...Chris Dodge started Slap A Ham Records back in the mid '80's and was responsible for quite a few awesome releases before the label called it quits...i don't think i've ever come across this online so i decided to post it here because i feel like this is, without a doubt, a must hear album...if you like punk, hardcore, power violence, Slap A Ham Records, cheese, Fonzie, or awesome music in general, then check this shit out now!! http://www.mediafire.com/?zlewumci0md
i personally feel that this idea is pure genius right here! why the fuck don't they make jars like this?!! it makes perfect sense...STIKKY, you are wise beyond your years

The Hawkwind Triad

here is a 3 way split album by U.S. Christmas, Harvestman, and Minsk...the concept is that each band does a few cover songs originally performed by the band Hawkwind...i gotta say, i was never a huge Hawkwind fan, i mean, i'd heard some of their stuff before and thought it was okay but not anything i'd listen to all the time, and i love Lemmy, but Motorhead is more my taste than his other band, Hawkwind...but now im beginning to think maybe i've underestimated them...either that or these 3 bands have an uncanny ability to make Hawkwind songs sound super fucking badass! this is a great record, i highly recommend expanding your mind to this densely layered and textured, experimental, psychedelic rock masterpiece...the album clocks in at over 78 minutes so you got plenty of time to get baked, drop a hit or two, or do whateva ya gotta do to get to that spiritual plain of sonic enlightenment...this is some of the best Harvestman that i've ever heard, and i think its because Von Till is actually singing on these tracks as opposed to the rest of the Harvestman albums that are mainly instrumental...Steve Von Till is one artist that i have nothing but mad respect for, the guy has just got soul, i don't know what else to say, he has a way of making me feel the emotion and energy in his music, more so than just about anyone else i can think of...and the other two bands on this split are kick ass too...i've been a fan of Minsk ever since i subjected myself to "The Ritual Fires Of Abandonment" and was lifted onto another level of consciousness and perception...and U.S. Christmas has never sounded better than on this record, really spacey, really trippy, and really cool...if you want a break from the daily grind then check out this album and free your mind!

Addicted To Grind

i always think its fun to change the lyrics in crappy songs and make them about something cool, i mean, you can take the worst song ever and just with a few lyrical interjections here and there, make it into something really funny and worth hearing...i guess everybodys got a little Weird Al in them and im not any different...i usually end up taking songs and making them about grindcore, heavy metal, gore, horror, perverted stuff, and the like...and i have a dream...a dream to one day release all of my retarded, reworked, cover songs as a full length album...i would do the music too, except i would change the style to fit the lyrics and attitude i want to convey but at the same time, still keeping it recognizable to the listener as a tune that they've probably heard before...i have a ton of ideas, many different lyrics written but i have yet to take the time to arrange all the music...like i said, its a dream...but heres a few of the tracks i would do if the said album was ever completed...the Rolling Stones hit, "Get Off Of My Cloud" would become "Get Outta My Bowels" the song "Where Have All The Flowers Gone?" by Peter, Paul, And Mary would be "Where Have All The Sick Fucks Gone?" and my newest twist on a classic 80's tune "Addicted To Love" by Robert Palmer, now becomes, "Addicted To Grind" i recently played the actual Robert Palmer song and sang my new lyrics over top of it for a friend of mine and he convinced me that it would be worth posting the lyrics and the mp3 of the song on here for everyone else to listen to and sing along with because its pretty damn funny...i have a hard time making it through the whole song without laughing myself, but then again i did write this muthafucka so im somewhat biased...i hope ya'll enjoy...
