Mose Giganticus - Gift Horse

i take back anything bad i ever said about this band...ok, so i didn't really care for their first two albums and when i heard that they signed to Relapse, i was like, wtf?!!! but it all makes sense now....this shit is fucking heavy....way more so than their previous efforts, and its not just heavy, its new, original, and refreshing....these guys incorporate a lot of electronic elements into their music using synth and some robotic voice stuff here and there, but don't get the wrong idea...this isn't some lame, like industrial metal bullshit...they got riffs, awesome riffs, nothing that will totally blow you away but some really catchy, heavy, groovy riffs...if you've heard their other two albums before then i would say, erase your memory and start over cause this album is way beyond anything they have done in the past, and i hope that their future will be a bright one....good job Relapse, i doubted you at first (can ya blame me?) but you guys obviously had more of an idea of what this band was capable of than i did, and i approve of you signing them....now get off of Sanford Parkers nuts and sign another band that rocks as hard as Mose Giganticus!
...apparently these guys aren't all about sharing their music without finacial compensation...i should have figured as much, they're on Relapse Records after all....pricks

The End

ok, don't ask me why but earlier today i suddenly had feelings for a second...like real human emotions and stuff...it was kinda scary for a minute but don't worry, i got over it and im all better now...back to my cold, burn your fucking eyes out with my stare, soul shattered, emotionless self...but during my short lapse into the human condition, i managed to write a really shitty song...i hope ya hate it!

If we never cry,
How do we know that we're alive?
In the end
We all will die
Never knowing the reasons why

Is there a point to mankind's existence?
And will your soul transcend this earthly prison?
Make the most of the time you are given
Cause at any second, the clock can stop ticking

No one knows what lies beyond
When mortality runs its course
We can only hope that the cycle progresses
And gets better instead of worse

Don't live your life in fear of the unknown
Take comfort in what you know
You were born, you do shit, you die,
The End
Accept the fate you cannot control

Fuck The Telephone

time to kick some lyrics for ya...heres a powerviolencey Schnauzer inspired song i wrote earlier today after a brief conversation with some random telemarketing fuckface...its called... FUCK THE TELEPHONE

Fuck the telephone
I don't wanna hear it ring
Cause at the other end
Is some asshole with a scheme

Don't call me,
looking for money
Don't call me,
this shit ain't fuckin funny
I can't waste my time
talking to you
At the end of the month
when i have no minutes left
What the fuck am i supposed to do?!!

Fuck the telephone
Unless you want to bone
Fuck the telephone
Unless you have something i own
Fuck the telephone
I don't wanna hear your fucking ringtone
Fuck the telephone
Fuck everyone on planet earth
I'M NOT HOME!!!

Psywarfare - Candyman EP

awwwww shit, what?! what?! i just got this record in the mail today and im fucking stoked! super limited to 106 copies, never to be repressed again, hand numbered, dark pink vinyl, and it came with the "lost" lyrics to the Integrity album, Seasons In The Size Of Days...also, i got a patch and two crazy ass inserts of Sammy Davis Jr.'s head on a robot body included in the deal...haha, pretty sweet...im a huge Psywarfare fan and Integrity is also one of my favorite bands of all time, so i was really excited to read the never before seen lyrics to SITSOD that weren't included on the album and then listen to Dwid's sonic terrorism that is Psywarfare...
4 tracks of crazy noise, chaotic distortion, groovy mechanical drums, and Dwids own style of vocals that range from a soft whisper to a full on holy terror hellion scream...its awesome shit, simple as that...im lucky to finally own this record and im definitely not gonna take it for granted...in fact, i think i'll listen to it again right now

Home Is Where The Hardcore Is

wow, so its been awhile since my last post, a lot has happened in this past month, where to begin? first off and most importantly i have moved from the butthole of southwest Virginia back to my hometown of York, PA...its unbelievable what a little change of scenery and culture can do for ya...i feel like my quality of life has improved 100 times over in just the two weeks that i've been back...the creative juices are flowing, inspiration is in abundance, the women are hotter, the bands rock harder, hell, even my hair is more shiny and alive since my recent migration home...i went to a show the other day and had a fucking blast, and in the town i used to live in that was an extremely rare occurrence...so the band i went to see was called, The Coke Dares...they are from Indiana and were on tour and just happened to have a free date where they didn't already have a show booked, so a friend of mine who knew the band, got them to play a house party, for free (beers were a dollar and the proceeds went to the band) and they fucking rocked the house with some really creative and kickass punk rock insanity...i really can't say enough good shit about this band, not only were they totally awesome live, but they were really cool dudes to hang out and party with...after blasting the doors off of the house party with about 45 songs, these guys headed to a bar up the street where they were having an open mic night, and totally shredded the faces off of a mostly unsuspecting crowd (most of the peeps from the house show came to the bar to see the rest of the killer 86 song set)...it was great! they played about another 40 songs of mostly original material with a couple of really awesome covers of ZZ Top and The Eagles...and, as if the show wasn't badass enough, i happened to come across a sweet piece of merch that just seemed to be meant for me to buy...i mean, i had to get it, for obvious reasons...i talked to their bass player and he told me the whole story behind the title of the 7", which was way more interesting and detailed than what i'll go into here, but basically to sum it up...they met a dude out on the road while they were on tour and the guy acted super shady and weird, asking about drugs and being totally blatant and obvious about shit so the band pretty much concluded (probably very accurately) that the guy was a cop...and it just so happened his name was Brad...now of course i hate the law as much as the next guy and probably more so than most people, so when i saw this record lying there on the merch table, i had to laugh...i told the bassist from The Coke Dares to see me after their set cause i had to buy that shit for reals! and i ended up talking and drinking with the guy, and this is how cool the band was...he just hooked me up with it for free...i mean, sure i bought some beers throughout the night and whatnot but i was more than willing to pay $3 for something that was so incredibly ironic and awesome looking...but the guy said nah, don't worry about it....now let me put this into perspective really quick....heres a band on the road, a long way from home, not making much of anything as far as money is concerned, just rocking out for the love of the music and on one of their free nights when they didn't have to play a gig, they came out, played two incredible sets, 86 songs total, for free mind you, (i think they might have made like $50) and they hooked me up with a 7" record for freesies....thats fucking punk rock my friends! theres nothing else you can say...mad props to The Coke Dares for keeping it real and being totally kickass and awesome! if you ever hear of these guys coming to your town, you better get off your fucking ass and go check that shit out!, trust me, you'll be glad you did....you can check their myspace page to get an idea of their sound, but im telling you straight up - these dudes sound way better live...they put on one hell of a show and i couldn't think of a better way to kick off this new chapter in the saga of shit called life...man, its good to be home...like my brutha from anotha mutha, Wesley Willis would say, if he were me right now...rock over VA, rock on PA! McDonalds, i'm lovin it!
my buddy had his video camera with him and got most of the two sets on tape, so as soon as he posts that shit on Youtube, i'll have a link for it...i hope the audio turned out well, i haven't seen any of the footage yet myself but from what i observed i think he got some pretty good footage of this badass band doin what they do
